One of the favourite and most frequent hires are the harlequin colours. The reason, they're timeless and very, very pretty. When I thought of china teacups, saucers and tea plates before I started hiring out, I thought of my Nanny aand Granny; no offense, but they were just fuddy, duddy!!! And before anyone says, yes I am partial to a floral, especiallycabbage rose designs.
Although popular with baby events, everyone loves the harlequins. Wouldn't they look great at a baby reveal, shower, Christening or a Sip 'n See. I have to admit they're one of my favourites too. I just can’t get enough of them.

What's Available for Hire?
I'm really lucky to have collected quite a lot, to date (Feb '25) I have fifty in the pink alone in the harelquin. If you take into account teacup patterns like below there are close to eighty or ninety available for hire.
Yellow harlequins are trickier to find, but I have fifteen teacups, saucers and tea plates available. Bizarrely, green you'd think there would be a lot around, however currently I just have nine.
Examples Available for Hire
I'm doing a Alice in Wonderland inspired wedding breakfast in May and there's a real mix of harlequins being used, mixed in with a few cheeky and fun florals. The bride and groom want to then mix it up further by having a different saucer and tea plate for each guests trio.
Some couples have opted for a single harlequin colour, pink being a particular favourite. Take a look at this pic, I'd teamed up this beautiful teacup and saucer with a harlequin duck egg blue tea plate; it works so well.

Hiring vintage china is really affordable, at just £1.50 for a trio (teacup, saucer and tea plate). You can combine the pastel trios with a fantastic choice of 3 tier cake stands. Here's three 3 tier stands that are perfect for pastels.
Each 3 tier cake stand costs £4.00 to hire
You can also hire teapots, cream jugs, sugar bowls, beautiful glass dishes for clotted cream and jam; alternatively you could do a dessert and use them for that. Each dish comes with its own serving spoon. I use a lovely dessert spoon popular between the 1930's and '60's.

If you would like to hire my vintage china for your event, whether big or small, please get contact with me. And remember you can hire what you want, you don't need to hire everything, you can design your package around your needs.
